how i didn't learn
I started learning and playing music when I was in high-school but high-school music class didn't work for me...
I couldn't connect with music just sitting sitting there with a teacher talking at me about it.

I learn by doing things not by listening to someone telling me how to do a thing.
Getting a bass in my hands, listening to music and physically connecting what I was hearing to the bass was how I learned.

"Coaching over Teaching" is my philosophy of learning. It comes from years of playing with others who were significantly better, who were kind and generous with their time and knowledge.
It's about taking you and your goals and supporting you as you achieve them and passing along my knowledge and experience, steering you to new music, new players, new ideas and new musical experiences as we go.
